MEA Collection

Design by Michaël Martins

The MEA collection emerged from a meeting and creative dialogue between Michaël Martins and Mael Sandoz. The design of a valet stand titled “The Butler” by Mael Sandoz, created as part of his studies atECAL, echoed a similar project created by Michaël Martins a few years earlier during his training at BFH. This resonance served as the starting point for the collection.

Building on this shared vision, Michaël Martins developed several variations to create a series of objects. The MEA collection consists of side tables, console tables, coffee tables, and lighting fixtures designed to enhance everyday life. A discreet presence, a place to rest, a helping hand. Functional objects that naturally find their place in the living space.

The colors and finishes shown in the collection are provided as examples.

Each piece is crafted in the color of your choice.

Design

A piece of furniture should be inviting and warm. The designs in this collection were therefore conceived with rounded lines that convey softness and balance. Wood was the natural choice for its warmth and its connection to the home.

Color also plays a key role in this collection. Just like the personal items that surround us, it helps create an emotional connection with the furniture. Choosing a color means choosing a piece that reflects who we are and makes us feel comfortable in our daily lives.

The collection was also designed for public spaces, hotels, restaurants, and offices. In these settings, MEA serves as both a functional and decorative piece, capable of blending seamlessly into a space’s design and naturally complementing everyday activities.

Materials

The MEA collection is available in several versions.

All-wood version

The natural oil-finished wood version is crafted from solid ash, a wood species known for its expressive grain and light tones. Depending on the project, other wood species may also be considered.

Wood and Color

This version combines the warmth of solid wood with the intensity of color. The central upright is painted, while the shelves are made of solid wood, typically oiled maple.

The colors come from the British family-owned company Little Greene, renowned for the depth of its shades and the quality of its products. Their palette, developed over many years of research and experience, offers a wealth of shades that allow you to personalize every room.

Full-color version

The full-color version gives the piece a more distinctive look. You can choose a shade from the Little Greene color palette or specify a custom color, which will be created using their paints.

The MEA collection is manufactured in Ollon, Switzerland. The individual pieces
